M.I.S. screw technique is usually performed with K-wires, a technique that may be dangerous and increase X-ray exposure during surgery. Spineart has designed a K-wireless option to enable surgeons to reduce intra-operative X-rays and risks of K-wire migration, while decreasing the learning curve associated with common M.I.S. techniques. Surgeons also have the opportunity to apply a conventional pedicle preparation technique with a modified bone probe for a minimally invasive technique.
